Reasons to Attend the Atlanta Gay Pride Parade

Support a Noble Mission

The Atlanta Pride Committee has organized the annual Parade for over 47 years. This non-profit organization works tirelessly to advance unity, visibility, and self-esteem of the LGBTQ community. Their goal is to promote a positive image for people of all gender and sexual identities in Atlanta, the Southeastern states, and the entire country.

The Parade is just one piece of the annual Pride Festival. It typically comes soon after National Coming Out Day and includes a series of events and activities in October. The committee also participates in over 60 additional programs with similar goals as well as community outreach.

Explore our Area

When you participate in the Atlanta Gay Pride Parade, you also have an opportunity to explore our city. The Parade brings you through the heart of Atlanta! You will start at the Civic Center MARTA Station, then travel north on Peachtree Street, turn east on 10th Street, and finally end up at Piedmont Park by the Charles Allen Gate. Be sure to check out the festival marketplace area where you’ll find over 200 vendors. Local restaurants and businesses are often promoted here or are running special promotions of their own throughout the city!

Have Fun!

All in all, one of the primary goals of this occasion is to have a great time. While supporting the mission and exploring the city, you can also enjoy live entertainment, music, costumes, and cultural exhibits. The Pride Festival is a place you can truly be yourself and interact with our wonderful community. Just be sure to register early for the event, since it always sells out quickly!
