FAQ’s

How far are you from the airport?

Stonehurst Place is located approximately 12 miles north of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Depending on traffic, it can take 20-40 minutes, with 30 minutes being the average time by automobile. MARTA, Atlanta's public train service, is another option. You can board at the Airport Station, and take the Gold or Red line north towards Doraville, and depart the train at the Midtown Station. Stonehurst Place is a 0.4 mile, or 9-10 minute walk, from the Midtown Station.

Do you have someone to assist with luggage?

The Innkeepers will be happy to assist you with your luggage; however, the Innkeepers are not always on property 24 hours a day. If assistance will be required, please notify us ahead of arrival and we can be sure to be present to assist.

Are there coffee makers and/or refrigerators in the rooms?

We do not have coffee makers or refrigerators in the guest rooms. We have coffee and tea available 24hrs in common areas located on each floor of the Main House and hallway of the Carriage House. We have a refrigerator in the common area on each floor of the Main House. A small refrigerator is available to be placed in your room should you need one for medical purposes. There are ice buckets in each guest room filled at check-in and we will gladly refill them for you as needed. Be sure to review all our in-room amenities and luxury amenities at the inn.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Personalized Check-in is between 4pm-6:30pm. If arriving after 6:30pm, self check-in is available. Please notify us if you expect to arrive late. Early check-in can be accommodated based on occupancy. If desired, you can guarantee an early check-in at a rate of $25/hr. Please notify us in advance if you would like to purchase a guarantee. Check out is anytime prior to 11am. Late check-out can be purchased at the $25/hr rate. Early and Late check-in/out fees are necessary to allocate the resources to guarantee such requests.

Can I check in late?

Yes, a self check-in procedure is available if arriving after 6:30pm.

If I am out very late, can I get back into the inn after hours?

Yes, our Main House has keyless entry. All of our guests are given a unique code to enter the Main House, in addition to a room key. Guests staying in the Carriage House will receive a key to enter the Carriage House and a room key. You can feel comfortable coming and going at your leisure.

Do you serve afternoon refreshments? If so, what?

Our in-house filtered water and complimentary soft drinks are available 24hrs a day. Complimentary packaged snacks are also available 24hrs a day. In the Dining Room on the sideboard, various chocolates and baked treats can be found daily. As well as a bowl of fruit: apples, oranges, bananas, etc.

Do you provide housekeeping services?

Yes. It is our policy to provide our guests with privacy during their stay and not enter your room unless requested; however, we are happy to service your room with fresh towels, toiletries, ice, and filtered water, remove the trash and make the bed upon request. We will change bed sheets on the third day of an extended stay.

Are there any laundry facilities on the premises?

Unfortunately we cannot offer laundry service to our guests. There is a Dry Cleaner located only a 0.2 mile walk from Stonehurst Place and a Laundromat located a 0.5 mile walk (or rideshare).

Do you offer any special services for business travelers?

Business travelers have access to hi-speed wifi on the entire property. The Dining Room and the Sleeping Porch can each be reserved for private meetings. The entire house can be reserved for corporate retreats and events. Please inquire with the Innkeepers if this service is needed. Review more regarding our setup for business travel.

Do you host private events?

Yes, individual rooms such as the Sleeping Porch (accommodates 2-8), Screened in Back Porch (accommodates 4-12), and the Dining Room (accommodates 4-12) can be reserved for private events from 1hr-4hrs. Outdoor spaces such as our Front Porch and Wedding Lawn can be reserved as well. The entire house can also be reserved for private events, family reunions, weddings, and corporate retreats. Reserving the entire house provides the flexibility to accommodate overnight stays for up to 14 guests and common space use for up to 20 people. Read more about hosting gatherings & private events.

Do you host weddings at Stonehurst Place?

Yes, we offer two different all-inclusive wedding packages as well as the option to customize your wedding experience from 2 people up to 20 people. Read more about weddings and download our brochure.

Can I reserve the entire house for an event?

Yes! The entire inn, which includes the Carriage House, can be reserved for events, such as family reunions, corporate retreats, and destination weddings. Please be advised that reserving the entire inn does not include access to the kitchen, and the Innkeepers remain onsite. Stonehurst Place can continue to provide daily breakfasts for your event or not, and can arrange for catering of lunch and/or dinner. Private events are completely customizable.

Are there any discounts for long-term stays?

Yes, call to inquire about a stay longer than 7 days. The longest stay allowable due to current Zoning restrictions is 28 days.

Do you offer ADA compliant rooms and/or features at the inn?

Yes, we offer an ADA compliant room in the Carriage House with its own parking space. The Main House is a historic home, and due to the nature of the property, there are no first floor guest rooms in the Main House that do not require steps. Review our web accessibility statement.

Where is Stonehurst Place located?

Stonehurst Place is located in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. We are on Piedmont Ave NE, one block south of Piedmont Park. We are on the edge of a single family home neighborhood and the city skyrises! On property feels like a peaceful oasis with the bustling city at your doorstep.

Do you have onsite parking?

Yes, we have one parking spot for each of our guest rooms on the property. There are two spots located in front of the house off the right side of the driveway, and 6 spots in the back of the house at the end of the driveway.

How many rooms are at Stonehurst Place?

We currently have 7 guest rooms available for overnight accommodation, 5 rooms in the Main House and 2 rooms in the Carriage House. All our rooms provide en suite bathrooms. We have three standard Queen Size rooms and four King Studio Suites.

What is a typical breakfast at Stonehurst Place?

Our delicious breakfast is prepared fresh each morning, with the exception of Wednesdays. Breakfast is served on the hour at three sittings, starting at 7:30am on weekdays and 8:00am on weekends. You will choose your seating time the day before, so we can ensure your meal is hot and fresh when seated. Each day the entrée will change, alternating days with sweet and savory. We like to get your taste buds going in the morning with a starter which can be a variety of things such as baked oatmeal, yogurt parfait, fresh fruit medley or baked goods like pound cake, muffins, or scones. Our savory entrees include Florentine Frittata, Egg Souffle, Quiche Lorraine, Cheese and Chive Omelet, etc. Our sweet entrees can be Lemon Blackberry Waffles, Pumpkin French Toast, Breakfast Bread Pudding with Pecan Toffee Drizzle, Red Velvet Pancakes, etc. Entrees typically come with one side on the weekdays and two sides on the weekends. We serve breakfast in our Dining Room at a group table that seats 10, and outside on our Screened Back Porch at tables for 2 and 4.

Can you accommodate special diets?

Yes, we accommodate food allergies and other dietary restrictions such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, no pork/beef, etc. We require 48 hour notice to accommodate our guests’ diets. Dietary restrictions can be noted during the booking process and a text message will be sent prior to your arrival requesting any dietary restrictions.

Can I bring my children and my pets?

Due to the intimate nature of the Inn, we gladly welcome all visitors over the age of 13. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate visitors’ pets due to potential allergies of our other guests. We welcome registered service animals.
