Stonehurst Place joins ‘B&Bs for Vets’ to host *two* rooms for service men and women on Veteran’s Day, Tuesday November 10th
Stonehurst Place today announced it will host two military service members or couples this Veteran’s Day in conjunction with B&Bs For Vets. The organization, now in its sixth year, has expanded to include the support of more than 500 inns across the U.S. that invite veterans and active military personnel to stay for free in observance of Veteran’s Day. Service members from all branches of the armed forces will stay either the night before or the night of Veteran’s Day, Tuesday November 10th and Wednesday November 11th, and wake up to relish their celebration and enjoy the inn’s much-lauded two course breakfast and elegant surroundings.
Veterans or active military personnel may make their stay request by sending an email with their military story and contact information to rsvp@StonehurstPlace.com. The lucky winners will be notified early November.
Stonehurst Place is Atlanta’s only B&B participating in the B&Bs For Vets program, and has participated each year since the program’s inception. This eco-friendly bed and breakfast inn features deluxe rooms and suites with gourmet breakfast served to guests each morning. In addition to a collection of books coveted by guests for its interesting and varied subject matter, the inn juxtaposes museum-quality art with family photos of the original owners and their son who served and died in WWI.
“I can’t thank you enough for your great hospitality,” said a B&Bs For Vets guest at Stonehurst Place. “Thank you also for honoring our military veterans on this day Great gourmet food and fantastic service!”
“Many of my family members served in our US armed forces including my father and my brother, who continues to serve America through his important and at times extremely dangerous global disease prevention work for the Centers for Disease Control,” says Barb Shadomy, interior designer and owner of Stonehurst Place. “A good night’s rest at Stonehurst Place is our ‘thank you’ to all who have and continue to serve.”
