These Sensational Winter Activities in Atlanta Will Be Unforgettable

The Rink at Park Tavern | November 26, 2020 – January 18, 2021

Just because it doesn’t snow in Atlanta often does not mean the city doesn’t love ice skating. The Rink at Park Tavern is one of our favorite ice skating rinks because it is located on the edge of Piedmont Park, in the heart of Midtown, and offers impressive views of the Atlanta Skyline. Plus, you’ll have a great time on and off the ice. The 85 by 40-foot rink can accommodate up to 100 skaters safely, so you can take a few laps or try a few tricks at your leisure. When you’re ready for a break, take a seat in a private cabana, and warm up with a cup of hot cocoa by the fire.

Pro tip: If you don’t own ice skates, there’s no need to worry. The Rink at Park Tavern has rental skates available in a variety of sizes.

Garden Lights at the Atlanta Botanical Garden | November 1, 2020 – January 11, 2021

The Atlanta Botanical Garden’s fabulous holiday spectacle, Garden Lights, is like a secret winter wonderland in the city. The spectacular holiday light exhibit boasts a stunning collection of glowing garden sculptures and millions of sparkling lights. This year’s exhibition features larger-than-life sculptures of the Alice in Wonderland characters, and of course, the Botanical Garden’s beloved Ice Goddess.

A Christmas Carol: The Live Radio Play | December 4, 2020 – December 23, 2020

This holiday season, enjoy a Christmas classic with a special twist; The Alliance Theatre presents A Christmas Carol: Radio Live Play. This drive-in style theatre show will transport you to the streets of Victorian England from the comfort of your vehicle. With this unique take on the traditional Christmas story, you can watch, listen, and sing along to your favorite Christmas tunes in real-time; all you need are tickets to the show and a radio!

Atlanta Christkindl Market | November 20, 2020 – December 27, 2020

Holiday cheer comes alive at the Atlanta Christkindl Market every holiday season.
